What is RadioU + TVU?

RadioU began in 1996 as a single FM radio station in Columbus, Ohio. TVU Music Television came along in 2001. RadioU + TVU are now available to millions of listeners and viewers through FM, cable systems, DISH Network, Sky Angel, and streaming live online. RadioU + TVU are an outreach of Spirit Communications, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Operating expenses are covered exclusively by donations received from the public.

Why do RadioU + TVU need money?

With satellite, streaming, music licensing, and radio tower bills, RadioU + TVU aren’t cheap to do. And without commercials — we legally can’t play them and you wouldn’t want us to anyway! — RadioU + TVU stay on the air 100% because of donations from listeners and viewers like you!

Will you send me a bill?

No. However, if you choose to donate by mail, we’ll send you a return envelope for your convenience.

Am I going to end up on junk mail lists?

No. We do not share your information with anyone. We’ll be the only ones to contact you, and we’ll include an opt-out link on every e-mail message.

Do you accept credit or debit cards?

Yes. Using your credit or debit card saves on mailing costs… and trees! As you should expect, online payments are handled through a secure transaction server.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. RadioU + TVU are operated by Spirit Communications, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. You’ll receive a year-end giving statement in January that you can use for your income tax preparation.

What is a “monthly” donation?

A monthly donation is paid every month, and is ongoing until you choose to change or cancel it.

What if I need to change my donation?
